Dear Machinists Union Members,
The IAM has trained Employee Assistance Program representatives on the ground, providing assistance. For those being affected by the storm, you are not alone, the Machinists Union family is here for you in any and every way we can help.
IAM members in Texas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Florida, and other affected areas are facing a long and trying road to recovery. They are helping their own communities, but they need our help, too.
FOR AFFECTED MACHINISTS UNION MEMBERS
We have compiled an extensive list of resources to help you recover. The IAM Irma Help Manual includes sections on FEMA, returning home, legal services, unemployment benefits, replacing lost documents, health care and prescriptions, housing challenges, and more.
If you are an IAM member affected by the hurricanes, you can apply for assistance from the IAM Disaster Relief Fund here.
If you are an IAM member who participates in certain Union Plus programs, you may be eligible for financial assistance through the Union Plus Disaster Relief Grant program.
All IAM members can receive confidential help through the IAM Employee/Member Assistance Program. Our services include, but are not limited to, addictions, mental health, stress, depression and financial hardship. You can reach the confidential IAM Assistance Helpline by calling 301-335-0735 or emailing email@example.com.
