Lockheed Firefighters Unit follows Suit With Proposed Takeaways

The Company maintains that the unit has a performance quality issue for individuals designated as drivers.

The following takeaways have been proposed by the company:

  • Deletion of the 42.5 hour work week for Fire Inspectors. Inspectors would suffer a reduction in pay year one as currently proposed.
  • Employees will no longer receive 16 hours of vacation pay on their anniversary date
  • Employees assigned as drivers will be required to take annual proficiency tests.
  • Drivers required to maintain new special proficiencies will not receive any additional pay to maintain qualifications
  • All employees currently assigned as drivers would no longer hold that designation.
  • Seniority would no longer be factored in the selection of drivers
  • No commitment to implement the 48/96 work schedule
  • Mandatory overtime
